Senior Procurement Analyst

THE CHALLENGE

There are exciting things going on behind the scenes at Eventbrite (NYSE:EB). Our internal Business Partners (BP’s) continue to grow as they execute on new strategies and initiatives, and the Procurement team is scaling to meet the growing needs of the business! You will be joining a high-performing team that supports the global Procurement function. Our mission is to build efficiencies and insights which help empower the business to make informed, necessary, and competitive purchases.


THE TEAM

The entire Finance team partners directly with our BP’s to help them achieve Eventbrite’s mission of “bringing the world together through live experiences”. We proactively identify risks and opportunities to achieve operating plans and make recommendations around the optimal allocation of resources. We are a fast-moving team who gives structure to complicated issues, immerse ourselves in data collection, and deliver impactful insights and recommendations. The successful candidate for this position will be highly motivated, prepared to adapt to a fast paced environment, has experience in the software industry and a strong understanding of procurement concepts.


THE ROLE

We are looking for a Senior Procurement Analyst who is confident, motivated, and willing to challenge traditional thinking and pursue new methods. As a business-minded, creative solution finder and analytical powerhouse, your experience will assist our Team in operationalizing Procurement initiatives, as we continue to centrally influence and scale our global purchasing activities. You will help scope, design, implement and provide ongoing support of repeatable, sustainable and scalable processes to drive global Procurement strategies.


The ideal candidate must be an Excel expert with advanced knowledge in creating formulas, functions, charts and dashboards. This role’s focus is 60% on data collection, analytics, reporting, business enablement and process improvement and 40% on partnering with our BP’s and external suppliers in a traditional procurement function to negotiate contracts, manage relationships and deliver favorable results throughout the procurement lifecycle.

YOU WILL

  • Partner directly with the procurement team, BP’s, and P&L owners to proactively assess current and future needs and drive continuous process improvement and change management throughout the procurement lifecycle
  • Create and maintain a centralized contracts database, build a contract renewal calendar, and analyze complex sets of data to develop thoughtful insights and dashboards which highlight value creation opportunities, cost savings, and bring recommendations to assist business partners in making key decisions that optimize value and drive ROI
  • Creation and management of executive-level dashboards and reporting
  • Build and develop relationships with Business Partners, helping them to deliver on key initiatives and contribute to the overall success of Eventbrite
  • Negotiate and manage short and long-term contracts to ensure optimum costs and competitive and compliant terms and conditions are established
  • Partner with the team to implement an automated and integrated global procurement process incorporating all Procurement lifecycle activities
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities to achieve financial and operational goals
  • Lead initiatives to ensure the execution of policies and controls related to day-to-day activities

THE SKILLSET

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a business related field.
  • 5 - 7 years of relevant work experience in a role with heavy procurement exposure including SaaS contract negotiations and management, SOW negotiations and management, procurement operations, data analytics & reporting, and other operational best practices
  • An absolute passion for data analytics and an ability to communicate actionable insights, trends, and recommendations
  • Quantitative modeling skills using Excel or other data tools
  • Adept in process improvement, systems administration, and maintenance
  • Comprehensive knowledge of contract negotiation and sourcing methodologies for SaaS, professional services, agency partnerships, etc.
  • Ability to develop, cultivate, and maintain complex business relationships with business partners and vendors
  • A strategic thinker focused on improving processes to gain efficiency, scale and minimize risk to Eventbrite
  • Superb communication, interpersonal and influencing skills

BONUS POINTS

  • Working knowledge of SQL or other data management tools
  • Procurement platform implementation and configuration experience
  • Active Eventbrite user with a passion for live events
