This Product Manager is responsible for developing marketing and business plans and activities for Technology CAD (TCAD) products to establish, enhance, or distinguish product placement within the competitive arena.
Responsibilities:-
Defines and coordinates sales collateral development, pricing and packaging strategies, competitive analysis, product roll out, and sales training

Identifies new market opportunities and drives plans to exploit new markets

Defines internal and external messaging and positioning of the product line

Develops and manages relationships with key customers and strategic vendor partners

Recommends changes to policies and establishes procedures that affect immediate organization(s)

Provides regular updates to manager on project status

Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions

Interacts with senior internal personnel, functional peer group managers, and external customers, normally involving matters between functional areas, other business units, or customers and the company

Leads a cooperative effort among members of a project team
Requirements:-
Has experience in a product marketing role for software products in the high-tech industry

Experience in the EDA industry is preferred and, ideally, has used TCAD tools in the industry

Technical orientation and understanding of semiconductor technology development and devices
- Innovative, energetic leader and has a decisive style with attentiveness to current and future customer and market trends

Demonstrates proven ability to work in a matrix environment

Key Product Marketing Skills
Communication: Create and deliver clear, concise communication that comprehends the audience and objective; be able to abstract deep technical topics and present them in a clear way that focuses on what value is provided to the customer; interact with customers/sales/AEs/R&D with active listening and be able to probe constructively.
Marketing: Identify and articulate product value proposition; understand how to segment customers based on characteristics including use models, assigned tasks, care-abouts, skill level; analyze competition for strengths/weaknesses/trends; synthesize detailed information into a clear view of the market/business/technological situation relevant to the product.
Collateral preparation: Assemble collateral that clearly communicates the value propositions and characteristics of TCAD products. Write articles, white papers and press releases and other outbound vehicles with coherent messages and grammatical constructs consistent with industry journalistic standards.
Business planning: Create revenue forecasts based on customer segmentation, use models, deployment characteristics and engineering resources. Manage engagement pipelines. Prepare business analyses for internal product reviews and strategy meetings.
Selling: Work with sales to explain products (what it does, its value, its differentiation, target user); help qualify customers through conversation, presentations, and meetings; Work with sales to create a strategy to win business with a particular customer; be able to quickly understand a sales person’s situation and offer the right help and advice
Teamwork/Leadership: Lead a core team to identify team objectives and priorities based on revenue goals, competition, current situation, customer input; help resolve conflicts within the team (personality, priorities, etc.)
Interpersonal: Know how to adapt interactions based on the people involved, the situation; be confident, not arrogant; be committed, but humble; be willing to listen and learn; know when to be forceful and when to back off
Domain knowledge: Be literate enough with our customer’s/product’s technology to have meaningful interactions with customers, sales, product team.
The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $130,000-$227,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses.
