Senior Designer

They are also a self- starter, strong communicator, very detail-oriented, and have a passion for interiors and the home décor and/or giftware industry. If this sounds like you ....YOU are the Senior Designer we seek! As a Senior Designer you will successfully visualize and execute designs for home décor, accessories, and giftware products.
Responsibilities:

• Assist in concept and development for seasonal trend books
• Participate in the conceptual development of product lines, i.e., ability to research, communicate and present ideas/concepts effectively
• Develop new designs and reimagine art across a variety of product categories
• Prepare CADs to be sent to vendors for sampling of products
• Ensure that product is of high quality and consistent with brand standards, market trends, as well as product strategy
• Collaborate and communicate with key partners throughout the design process including the Product Development Team
• Design and execute package designs, create package die-lines, edit photos, create original graphics and illustrations, and work within brand guides
• Develop product mock-ups, for catalog photoshoots, shows and presentations
• Adhere to production schedules to manage time and prioritize daily workload
• Monitor competitors, product innovation and market dynamics
• Present ideas, problem solving and design solutions within the scope of a project
• Manage multiple design projects and product lines with varied deadlines

Qualities You Must Have:

• Degree in Graphic, Communication or equivalent
• 5+ years specialty gift or home décor product experience
• Great understanding of home décor and gift trends
• Fast, detailed oriented and accurate designer
• Highly refined and versatile graphic design style
• Creative and innovative self-starter
• Extremely well organized with the ability to handle multiple projects
• Ability to work well in a creative team and independently
• Expert in Illustrator and Photoshop. Experience with other Creative Cloud Software
• Solid knowledge in hardlines/softlines categories (raw materials, plastic, textiles, print, pattern, graphic composition, manufacturing)
• Experienced product design skills (e.g. 3D product design, technical design, sketching, creative application and manipulation of art, final mechanical art, fabric and trim identification)
