Our Senior Program Manager II lead strategic programs and initiatives across the division. We align product, engineering, and cross-functional teams to exceed the expectations of our customers. We are relied on by leaders across the organization to execute on critical programs with high business impact.

Partner with the best

As a Senior Program Manager II, you will manage multiple complex projects and guide multidisciplinary teams to successfully deliver against key business goals. You will serve as the voice of the program to Executive Sponsors and key stakeholders.

As a Senior Program Manager II Technical, you will be responsible for:

  • Planning and organizing strategic programs at the organization level, across multiple groups working closely with executive sponsors
  • Identifying and mitigating risks from a variety of situations including those that arise from dependencies between groups
  • Driveing strategic program core teams and partnering closely with cross-functional teams to support, define, develop, and deploy solutions meeting customer needs
  • Using project management methodologies and best practices to ensure the successful delivery of products, projects, and releases
  • Recognizing when new processes would be beneficial and establishing them
  • Working with tool teams to implement new or updated tools in support of team or business processes

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

  • 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in program/project management or its equivalent
  • Experience working with JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Office, and Google products
  • Experience in Identifying and managing project dependencies while maintaining accurate project plans with real-time milestone
  • Experience with program and project management principles and practices, PMP certification or Big 5 Consulting experience
  • Experience with business process, operations, and metric definition best practices along with organizational and communication skills
  • Experience with Risk and Issue management and resolution

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $113,430 - $170,043/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP). Akamai provides industry-leading benefits including healthcare, 401K savings plan, company holidays, vacation (in the form of PTO), sick time, family friendly benefits including parental leave and an employee assistance program including a focus on mental and financial wellness; Eligibility requirements apply.
