Senior Project Manager

Candidates for the position must have a Master of Science/ Engineering in Civil/ Architectural/Structural Engineering and must be licensed to practice engineering in the state of Texas. Additionally, this position requires a minimum of 6 years of experience in designing structures for steel and concrete buildings. This position is classified as full-time, salaried, exempt. The anticipated salary range for this position is $115,000 - $135,000 based on qualifications and location.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates for the position must have a Master of Science/ Engineering in Civil/ Architectural/Structural Engineering and must be licensed to practice engineering in the state of Texas. Additionally, this position requires a minimum of 6 years of experience in designing structures for steel and concrete buildings. Responsibilities

  • Develops project plan and budget including staffing and resource needs
  • Collaborates with Principals in the selection and oversight of staffing members for the project
  • Plans and conducts project meetings with team members
  • Resolves project issues (e.g., technical, budget, schedule, billing, etc.) and responds to RFIs
  • Manages/ oversees project staff and provides direction/ quality control as required
  • Monitors and reviews project profitability through financial reports and financial review meetings
  • Coordinates and conducts design review meetings (i.e., IDs projects for review, schedules and conducts review)
  • Develops tools to facilitate project work (e.g., automated design tasks, project and document control)
  • Provides input into strategic planning regarding the delivery of service
  • Completes project closeout (i.e., financial closeout, archive project files, provides project information to marketing & materials database, document lessons learned, etc.)

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

  • Thorough understanding of Engineering principles and Building/Construction standards and codes
  • Understanding of industry standards, technology, and trends
  • Knowledge and expertise with ETABS, RISA 3-D, SAFE, and REVIT software
  • Analytical and Conceptual thinking skills
  • Ability to make decisions, resolve conflicts, delegate and follow through
  • Prioritization, technical problem solving, and time management skills
  • Excellent written, verbal and team management skills
