Job Summary

You will work collaboratively with the Brinker facilities, construction, accounting and legals teams to manage real estate issues for our portfolio of more than 1,000 Chili's and Maggiano's restaurants. Responsibilities include:

  • Helping resolve CAM and tax disputes and lease interpretation (including defaults)
  • Negotiating easements with adjacent landowners and developers
  • Managing subleased properties and closed restaurant sites
  • Handling dispositions and acquisitions of owned properties
  • Managing condemnations as they arise
  • Reviewing and/or drafting lease and declaration amendments (including construction concerns, legal description changes, and center redevelopments)
  • Reviewing site plans and legal surveys as needed to resolve property-related issues
  • Assisting with construction team on remodels of existing locations with respect to legal issues
  • Manage lease renewals on parking, storage, and signage leases

What You Bring to the Team

  • 8-10+ years of legal property management experience in law firm or corporate settings
  • Understanding of commercial leases, title and survey issues and restaurant operation
  • Talent for communicating, coordinating and working cooperatively
  • Strong research, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to organize and identify priorities
  • Capacity to manage a portfolio of existing restaurants
  • Ability to learn quickly and to work efficiently
  • College degree or paralegal certificate preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $79,100.00 - $122,400.00 per year
