Company Description

  • Hourly wage for this position is $20 - $23 / hour
  • Hours are roughly 8am-4pm daily.
  • Full time & Part time positions available
  • Must be willing to work occasional weekends.
  • Memory Care/Dementia experience is required

 

Job Description

Develops and Initiates a comprehensive resident centered Life Enrichment Program for residents with cognitive decline and dementia including activity programs and club dining services.

Essential Duties:

  • Provides a setting that is clean, safe and comfortable.
  • Educates families and staff on benefits to maximize resident opportunities.
  • Promotes resident participation for those who would benefit.
  • Participate in ongoing dementia care training.
  • Communicate with Activities Director or DOAL regarding supplies needed.
  • Makes an active contribution towards improving community relations, increasing public regard and overall awareness of the community.
  • Works in conjunction with Activity Director in development and execution of monthly program calendar and Resident Daily Schedule.
  • Maintains resident engagement in meaningful programs specific to resident interests and abilities.
  • Coordinates attendance at Assisted Living programs and events when appropriate.
  • Organizes outings with activities staff.
  • Routinely communicates with Director of Assisted Living any resident personal needs.
  • Reports any noted changes in residents condition/behavior or normal routine to Director of Assisted Living.
  • Arranges for clinical assistance for residents as needed. (restroom escorts, medication assistance, etc.)
  • Maintains activity records per SRG policies.
  • Assists in dining services to enhance resident dining experience including coordination of mealtimes.
  • Set up for and clean up after events and activities.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with individuals who have cognitive decline and dementia a must.
  • CNA or experience as caregiver preferred.
  • Candidate must be highly motivated, and have a self starter mentality.
  • Ability to create and execute high quality programing to the residents. 
  • CPR and First Aid certified
  • Food Handlers Card (may be obtained on the job)
