Job Summary

Reporting to the Director of Finance - Risk and Treasury – the Risk Finances Sr Analyst supports the Risk Management Department’s goal of managing the most efficient and effective Total Cost of Risk by providing timely reporting and meaningful/actionable analysis as it relates to the insurance program (risk financing), claims management and safety/loss prevention programs. In addition, the role will also include tactical accounting, financial reporting, and other support as needed.

Your Key Job Functions

  • Responsible for the preparation of accurate and timely reporting/reconciliation for all insurance program expenses. This would include working with multiple departments (such as Treasury and Financial Reporting).
  • Responsible for the preparation of annual G&A and Insurance Budget and Restaurant Operations Allocation model.
  • Responsible for the preparation of reports to support the evaluation of reserves, risk financing and safety issues.
  • Responsible for the analysis of risk control, safety, and accident prevention programs designed to reduce the frequency and severity of accidents and claim costs.
  • Responsible for the preparation of period, interim and annual report packages for Restaurant Operations to measure effectiveness of specific and overall risk management programs and initiatives.
  • Responsible for SOX Compliance testing and will serve as main audit point of contact.
  • Responsible for insurance policy audits/policy compliance.
  • Compile underwriting information for policy renewals and new lines of insurance.
  • Responsible for insurance policy administration, including distribution of auto id cards.
  • Maintain property insurance and auto fleet inventory schedules.
  • Responsible for managing first party property claims, partnering with outside vendors and internal departments (i.e., forensic accountants, claims adjuster, broker).
  • Work with purchasing to create and maintain accurate record of the annual auto fleet inventory.
  • Comply with Monopolistic state filing requirements.
  • Compile data for and complete risk and insurance related surveys as directed.
  • Compile wage statements for worker’s compensation program as needed.
  • Coordinate restaurant boiler inspection process and act as liaison between carrier and restaurant operations.
  • Coordinate Certificate of Insurance process, including inbound and outbound certificates and ad hoc requests from restaurants.
  • Waivers of liability – work with restaurants and the Restaurant Support Center to mitigate liability resulting from team-building events and parties.
  • Track and account for BOG usage and field investigation charges.
  • Process and submit invoices for approval as needed, keeping detailed/accurate records.
  • Additional Risk Management projects and support as assigned.

What You Bring to the Team

  • College degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Risk or Insurance professional designations preferred but not required.
  • Financial acumen is required. Previous finance and/or accounting experience preferred.
  • MS Office experience including Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
  • Analytical skills and financial acumen.
  • General knowledge of insurance policies, claims and safety/loss prevention programs and the practical ability to apply such knowledge to restaurants operations preferred but not required.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Possesses strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Works with minimal supervision to accomplish tasks.
  • Prioritizes work to meet appropriate deadlines.
  • Handles multiple tasks with competing and conflicting requests.
  • Handles sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Draws conclusions and makes recommendations.
  • Ability to communicate and establish a rapport with people of various backgrounds, cultures, and professions.
  • Strong listening skills.
  • Strong customer service skills, including a high level of enthusiasm and energ
  • 3-5 years, preferably in finance or accounting.

Pay: $82,399.57 - $99,233.89 per year
