SENIOR SCIENTIST

We are seeking an enthusiastic bioconjugation Senior Scientist to join R&D Chemistry group. You will support antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) discovery programs by designing and carrying out conjugation, purification, and characterization using established techniques and develop new platform technologies. As a Senior Scientist, a typical day might include the following:

• Designing and performing conjugation using conventional and site-specific conjugation methods to support ADC pipeline and technology development

• Exploring novel conjugation and characterization methods to evaluate ADCs conjugated with novel payload modalities and linkers

• Using various FPLC chromatography techniques and UF/DF methods to purify milligrams to grams scale conjugates

• Applying analytical techniques to perform biochemical and biophysical characterization of ADC

• Documenting experiment results and findings in electronic notebook, writing patent and publication documents, and presenting work in internal/external meetings

• Serving as conjugation expert in ADC-related project teams

• Collaborating with cross-functional groups and CROs to prioritize and deliver ADCs from screening to candidate selection and transfer knowledge to process development.

In order to be considered for this role, you must have at least a Ph.D. and 0-3+ years or a MS and 5+ years of relevant experience in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or other related fields. We need someone with bioconjugation expertise and conjugate purification using SEC, HIC, IEX, and affinity chromatography on AKTA are required. Hands-on experience in analytical methods such as SEC, HIC, RP-HPLC, MCE, LC-MS, DLS, UV-vis, SDS-PAGE is preferred. Experiences in conjugation automation, large-scale conjugation and purification, organic synthesis, and antibody engineering would be advantageous.
