1. Online—Login and learn! Aqua-Tots University (ATU) offers everything you need to know about your new, exciting position in an easy-to-use, self-paced online environment.
2. Hands-On—This is where you really get your feet wet! You receive 30 hours of in-person training alongside an experienced coach. 
3. Continuing Education—We’re always learning! Take part in regularly scheduled training opportunities throughout the year to advance your Aqua-Tots super skills.

How We Make a Splash

It all started in a pool, but not one of the indoor, 90° pools that tots have come to love over the years. Our mission began in 1991, at a community pool in Tempe, Arizona, where one teenage lifeguard taught one single lesson, and a dream was born.

At a time when quality childhood swim instruction was a novelty, Ron and Jane Sciarro created a different kind of swim experience. Their mobile swim school traveled the greater Phoenix area to borrowed backyard pools and rented hotel facilities. The Sciarros offered parents a place to be heard, where water safety goals for their children became more than a wish list, but a reality. And Aqua-Tots took off!

By 2005, the idea of a year-round swim program had made its way into the hearts and minds of parents everywhere, and with the help of Paul and Heather Preston, the first Aqua-Tots Swim Schools location opened in Mesa, Arizona, followed quickly by the first franchise location in 2007.

Today, Aqua-Tots Swim Schools serves over 120 communities in 14 countries, and we’re committed to teaching children of all ages and abilities the skills they need to become safe and confident swimmers for life.

After all, it’s about so much more than swim lessons. It’s about propelling lives, one swim lesson at a time.

WHAT WE’RE DOING TO REMAIN SAFE & HEALTHY

At Aqua-Tots Swim Schools, the heart of our mission revolves around people, and that’s why health and safety have remained our #1 priority for over 30 years.

Aqua-Tots Worldwide Franchise Headquarters has worked in tandem with local, state, and international health officials, the United States Swim School Association, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to implement the Aqua-Tots Full Circle of Safety, a modified swim school environment for the health of our families and staff, safety of our swim lessons and cleanliness of our facilities.

Each Aqua-Tots Swim Schools location continues to work closely with their local health authorities to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in their swim schools. We encourage you to contact your neighborhood Aqua-Tots Swim Schools location to learn more about their specific Full Circle of Safety measures.

Additionally, a properly maintained and sanitized pool is still considered a safe environment for children and families. The Aqua-Tots pools have always contained commercial sanitation and filtration systems which maintain the proper chlorinated levels.
