You're an experienced Site Reliability Engineer with a strong focus on ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our cloud infrastructure. You work closely with your team to support the rollout and usage of new features at scale by focusing on delivering high-quality and efficient infrastructure, and you work to maintain and improve the system's reliability and availability. You have a deep understanding of how to build and maintain complex systems at scale and are always looking for ways to improve reliability and reduce downtime. You have experience working in a startup or high-growth company and have experience maintaining and improving B2B cloud infrastructure. You understand how to work cross-functionally to meet the needs of multiple stakeholders and have a track record of success in ensuring the infrastructure is performing at its best.
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining a highly scalable, reliable, and fault-tolerant cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform
- Developing automation tools for infrastructure deployment, monitoring, and maintenance using tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Puppet
- Ensuring the smooth operation of Spot AI's cloud infrastructure, monitoring its performance and availability, troubleshooting issues, and resolving incidents in a timely manner
- Continuously improving the reliability and performance of the cloud infrastructure by analyzing metrics and logs, identifying bottlenecks, and optimizing resource utilization
- Working closely with development teams to understand their requirements and provide guidance on building scalable and reliable applications that can run on the cloud infrastructure
- At least 5 years of experience in a SRE, DevOps Engineer, or similar role
- Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services and infrastructure design best practices
- Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet
- Solid understanding of Linux operating system internals, networking, and security
- Strong programming skills in Python, Go, or similar languages
- Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team
- Base Salary Range: $120,000 - $177,000. Offered salary will be based on the offered candidate's demonstrated attributes and competencies related to the role, as well as the offered candidate's geographical location within the United States.
