About the role:

As a software engineer on the K Health team, you will join a world-class group of software engineers, business leaders, and designers who are continually creating and supporting patients and clinical experiences to patients . We're hoping to add your expertise in software engineering to our team.

K Health is a healthcare company driven to design and deliver an extraordinary remote healthcare experience to patients. We hire people with broad skill sets who also exhibit deep expertise. Software engineers at K Health contribute in a wide variety of ways. We build and maintain software that delivers multiple digital health offerings to patients. We define and prioritize product goals derived from the work we do to understand both patient and provider's interests. We collaborate from project inception to detailed completion, contributing creative solutions to improve peoples' experiences with K's products. We also recruit engineers like you.

This role is on our Accounts squad reporting to our Engineering Manager.

What you'll do:

Communicate technical concepts clearly, tailoring explanations to the technical familiarity of audience
Identify risks, trade offs, and alternative solutions before making design decisions
Take the lead in designing and implementing solutions
Spearhead investigations, production issues and bugs
Identify tech debt before it becomes an issue and work with team to prioritize it appropriately

What we're looking for:

3+ years experience building production APIs and backend systems
Experience working with modern development languages and frameworks (Python, NodeJS preferred)
Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals and monitoring
Excellent working knowledge of database technologies (Postgresql, Mongo)
Experience with container solutions (Docker, Kubernetes, etc)
Strong problem solving and analytical/reasoning skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Experience working with distributed systems
Working with AWS or other cloud providers

Compensation:

$140,000—$177,000 USD

K Health offers competitive compensation packages along with stock options based on industry benchmarks for function, level, and geographic location. Offer amounts are determined by multiple factors such as a candidate's experience and expertise.
