About the Senior Software Engineer, Web (Membership) at Headspace:

Headspace is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join its Membership Web & Organic Growth team. We drive the conversion and retention efforts at Headspace. As part of this team, you'll be tasked with prototyping, architecting, and executing on the creation of our platform, and be integral in driving growth of our consumer subscription business. We are looking for a highly-talented web engineer who can help build the next generation monetization experience.

What you will do:

• Lead projects and gather requirements to design complex solutions
• Set high technical standards through code and design reviews
• Create beautiful, engaging web applications in JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and Redux
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, ship and monitor new features
• Improve engineering process and procedures
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency

What you will bring:

Required Skills:

• Experience with frontend languages such as Javascript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS
• Experience with frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue.js or similar frameworks
• Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
• Exposure to alerting and monitoring

Preferred Skills:

• 4+ years of professional software development experience
• Demonstrated ability to make tough technical decisions based off of requirements, constraints, and trade-offs
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex web applications
• Strong skills in modern JavaScript/React frameworks such as Gatsby and Next.js

Pay & Benefits:

The base salary range for this role is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to skills and scope required, relevant licensure and certifications, and unique relevant experience and job-related skills. The base salary range for this role is $104,981-$157,476.
