The Role

If you’re a talent acquisition leader who is able to translate business strategy to talent strategies and at the same time understands what it takes to operationalize the big picture, our Senior Manager role might be a great fit for you! The Senior Manager makes a strategic impact both within AMS and for our large, global clients.

Executive Influence – the Senior Manager works closely with clients’ key leaders, whether the CHRO or head of talent or head of talent acquisition, we serve as trusted advisors in areas the clients need us most. Interprets and understands clients’ aims and drivers behind a project / assignment. Actively seeks feedback and measures customer satisfaction throughout the life of a project.

People Leadership – the Senior Manager might lead a team of consultants with varying levels of experience and expertise. As their leader, they are responsible for providing performance feedback and career guidance and create a positive employee experience.

Thought Leadership – the Senior Manager couples external experiences with AMS’s tools and methods and readily shares both. Acts as a role model both internally and with external clients. Conducts post project reviews to continue to hone methodologies to provide the best client experience and outcomes.

Project Management – the Senior Manager provides leadership and oversight to project delivery teams of varying size, scale and complexity, determining resource needs, budget requirements and ensures deliverable execution based on our contractual requirements.

Delivery Excellence – the Senior Manager monitors project performance and ensures delivery within time and budget, taking ownership for the commercial and business impact of the decisions made. The Senior Manager is expected to own key client relationships and the overall project team, guiding and coaching both the client and AMS resources to ensure that the overall program is delivered.

Business Development – the Senior Manager demonstrated expertise within talent acquisition (as a generalist or specialist in a sub-area of TA, such as TA technology) and leverages relationships within the market to support business development by providing recommended approaches/solutions in response to identified client needs.

Key Accountabilities

Skills & Experience

  • Degree qualified or commensurate experience
  • Degree qualifications in a business-related discipline (e.g. organizational behavior, occupational psychology, human resources or change management)

Essential

  • Experience presenting to senior-level stakeholders to convey a point of view or path of action, with demonstrated experience adapting styles for varying audiences
  • Experience facilitating workshops with senior-level stakeholders to create alignment, clarity, and momentum
  • Experience managing programs of varying size, scale and complexity across multiple geographies, including oversight of PMO responsibilities (i.e. project plan, RAID, status reporting, budget/financial tracking, etc)
  • Experience of having been part of large-scale HR or resourcing transformation / change programs
  • Experience using a variety of tools and methodologies as may be appropriate for different client situations
  • Experience leading and growing teams in a virtual environment, including direct management responsibilities for performance and development
  • Understands the full recruitment lifecycle from experience gained working within Recruitment and/or HR function
  • Experience overseeing the creation of highly professional PowerPoint presentations that convey a compelling point of view or recommended action to take, using a logical and persuasive storyline.

Desirable

  • Experience of Six Sigma, TQM or Lean methodologies
  • Experience of process re-engineering and applied methodologies
  • PMP certification or commensurate experience
  • Demonstrated experience as either an internal or external consultant
  • Has experience of both permanent and contingent recruitment
  • Has experience of writing bid documents and proposals
