The Corporate Sustainability Enablement team is part of the Akamai Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Office. It is responsible for developing, analyzing, executing, and managing programs. These are related to climate risk, renewable energy, and broader ESG strategies. The Corporate Sustainability Enablement team works across the business to create standards. The team creates collaborative reporting on these critical topics for Akamai's long-term success.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing environmental sustainability programs at Akamai. You will build and manage a growing team as well as work with cross-functional teams. You will partner across the business to implement changes in corporate strategy using data-driven decision making

As a Senior Sustainability Enablement Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Managing program framework and tools to enable prioritization, long-term planning, project selection and implementation through data-driven decisions
• Facilitating engagements with employees, partners, industry and stakeholders in the development of opportunities for greenhouse gas reduction
• Partnering with our engineering, product, infrastructure and planning teams to influence short and long-term projects and strategies.
• Enabling critical decision making by working with and gaining alignment across cross-functional stakeholders.
• Using effective communications that influence energy efficiency, reduce greenhouse gas emissions and minimize unnecessary consumption.
• Partnering with supplier owners to identify strategies and opportunities that influence the responsible supply chain program integration
• Aiding the director in driving and integrating the company's environmental, social, and governance (ESG)

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree
• Have demonstrated experience building and managing a team
• Have experience in creating and executing technical and non-technical programs
• Have demonstrated ability to manage tight deadlines, prioritize workloads with a high level of accuracy
• Able to spot trends in data to use in forecasting and modeling;
• Have the ability to collect information from disparate sources and develop methods of effective communications
• Have experience with communications and data tools such as Tableau, R, Google Sheets and Microsoft Suite.

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $85,000 to $127,000/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
