As a Senior Tax Analyst, Federal Mergers and Acquisitions, you will provide merger, acquisition, and other transaction support. You will also provide support related to the company's stock and partnership investments, and assist with special projects.
Responsibilities
- Provide merger, acquisition, and other transaction support, including
- Perform tax due diligence for potential acquisitions
- Prepare materials summarizing deal structures and tax implications
- Compute tax impacts of transactions
- Provide transaction-related support to the IRS CAP audit team, including drafting IRS presentations
- Develop relationships with contacts within the company and outside the company to gather information for transaction planning and disclosure
- Coordinate with Tax Department teams to ensure proper reporting of tax positions
- Maintain legal entity organization charts
- Provide investment support, including
- Perform tax due diligence on potential investments
- Maintain investment database to track investment attributes and deliver compliance schedules
- Assist with investment compliance
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting and 4 years ofexperience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree in Accounting and 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Requires strong knowledge of tax
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and tax return preparation software (OneSource)
- Strong analytical, federal income tax technical, written, and oral communications skills
- Ability to lead, manage and prioritize multiple assignments and projects; resolve complex tax issues, and consistently deliver a thorough and accurate work product with great attention to detail
- Demonstrated performance as a team player, highly motivated, and a self-starter
Preferred
- CPA
- Public Accounting experience preferred
