The role is located onsite within our Pittsburgh, PA office to make sure we deliver impactful products for our customers and users. As a Senior User Experience (UX) Researcher, you will help your team, designers, product managers, and engineers understand how the users’ needs play a critical role in creating useful, usable, and delightful products.

What you will do:

    • Work closely with stakeholders, customers, and users to define product requirements.
    • Assist with competitive analysis (both direct and indirect competitors) and use this to influence product prioritization.
    • Lead the user research effort on our products, including analysis, and transition to design and product testing.
    • Explore user behaviors and motivations by conducting primary research such as field studies, user interviews, diary studies, participatory workshops, ethnography, surveys, usability testing, and logs analysis.
    • Conduct independent research on multiple aspects of products and experiences to improve Net promoter score.
    • Work with the team to define workflows and information architecture and to prioritize research opportunities in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
    • Coordinate with the UI design team to make sure the company is producing market-leading solutions.
    • Review quantitative data and identify potential product improvement.
    • Provide input to help shape the company’s user experience design process.

What you will need:

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Science, Statistics, Psychology, Anthropology, related field, or equivalent practical experience preferred.
    • Experience with B2B2C or Direct to consumer Mobile applications is required, and work on NPS is a plus.
    • Demonstrated experience planning and running user research efforts. Previous work should involve recruiting participants, discovery research, usability testing product design concepts, and generating insights that impact design decisions.
    • Experience presenting research and design ideas to teams, executives, or customers.
    • Knowledge of UI best practices and relevant product research experience, either in an end-to-end, usability, or generative setting.
    • Ability to manage time across multiple projects and customers.
    • Ability to focus on delivering tactical solutions while keeping an eye towards strategic objectives for a product.
    • Comfortable challenging ideas and assumptions when evidence points in another direction.
    • Experience creating mobile user experiences and mobile best practices.
    • Ability to tie in analytics and other forms of user feedback into design decisions.
    • Proficient in English (written and verbal).
