The Team:  

The Legal team supports Datadog's rapid growth by providing a wide range of legal services across a highly dynamic technology company, from driving new business via contracts and compliance efforts, to protecting Datadog's intellectual property. Datadog's Legal team works with virtually every team across the organization, from engineering to product to marketing.

 

The Opportunity: 

Join our global Sales and Alliances legal team negotiating revenue generating contracts for Datadog as the senior attorney responsible for optimizing our enterprise contracting practices.  

 

You Will: 

  •  Review and negotiate customer and partner contracts.
  •  Identify opportunities to accelerate contract closure for enterprise customers and drive implementation of the same, leveraging your experience and data driven analytics.
  •  Work with senior executives on setting contracting policies and on contract escalations.
  •  Train legal and sales team members on strategies for negotiating with enterprise customers.
  •  Collaborate with other teams within Legal and across the company to support Datadog’s acceleration of revenue and reduction of risk.

 

You Are: 

  •  Experienced negotiating SaaS contracts for multi-tenant platforms with enterprise customers.
  •  An attorney with at least 7 years of practice, predominantly in the area of commercial transactions, with a minimum 2-3 years of top law firm experience.
  •  Fluency in the areas of technology, privacy and intellectual property.
  •  Driven to identify better ways of doing things.
  •  A strong issue spotter and creative problem solver.
  •  Someone who enjoys supporting and educating colleagues.
  •  Comfortable with data analysis.
  •  Someone with a high degree of emotional intelligence, enabling the building of strong collaboration channels with peers and stakeholders across the business and identifying pathways to success with our customers.

 

Bonus Points: 

  •  Familiarity with the types of solutions Datadog provides.
  •  Comfortable with negotiating international transactions.
  •  CIPP certification.
