Service Manager Electrical (Orlando Preferred Properties)

Our Client Service Manager, Electrical will manage all aspects of utility services provided at the Orlando Preferred Properties.
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and develop all client utility aspects for temporary utility services, including electrical and plumbing.
  • Exhibit a basic understanding of requirements for production events and trade shows.
  • Work directly with the CSM’s and facility Event Managers on preplanning, execution, and invoicing for utility services for events, including client calls, site visits, generating estimates, and on-site management.
  • Work directly with the Electrical Lead of Leads and facility Leads to ensure proper billing practices and documentation of materials, labor, and rental equipment is performed to ensure accurate invoicing for the purpose of capturing all revenue.
  • Once event needs are determined, create estimates and generate purchase orders for necessary rental equipment i.e., carts, generators, and other materials.
  • Work directly with the Electrical Lead of Leads on the weekly schedule, managing & scheduling BEO’s, place labor calls, and Kronos approval.
  • Schedule and attend permit related inspections with Reedy Creek Improvement District.
  • Ensure that an approval protocol is in place for service call requests made to the Electrician on Duty and contact is made with clients that require approval for onsite changes.
  • Manage the labor and productivity tracking and reporting process. Assist in show labor analysis.
  • Implement GES SOP and Best Practices, and pro-actively develop, test and share process improvements.
  • Manage the electrician team within the guidelines of the union contract. Ensure complete and accurate documentation of grievances and disciplinary actions is maintained.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of compliance requirements for OSHA, DOT, and Safety Requirements, and manage teams to perform in accordance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure damage and loss reports are documented in adherence with company practices.
  • Coordinate activities with vendors and facilities communicating frequently with in-house providers who require electrical services for AV, rigging, and production.
  • Understand inventory levels and purchases, evaluate safeguard systems of outlets and materials.
  • Strive to provide excellent service and execution to internal and external customers.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Associate Director of Client Services.
Qualifications:
  • College Degree preferred.
  • Three (3) to seven (7) years in a client interfacing environment, experience which was inclusive of management/supervisory functions. (hire, fire, discipline, coach, train and develop talent)
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of electricity, 120v/208v/480v, single phase, and three phase service in a temporary environment.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to escalate issues with senior management.
  • Demonstrate ability to interface with individuals in a supervisory capacity and comfortably interface with customers and senior level managers.
  • Experience reviewing floor plans, construction drawings, and electrical layouts.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in computer skills to include Word, Excel, Adobe Editor and understanding of financial reports.
  • Requires ability to adapt to multiple settings and shifting responsibilities.

Work Environment:
  • Flexibility to work nights and weekends on-site at the Orlando Preferred Properties. This role is not a remote position.
  • Position may require long hours for several months of the year. Typically performs work on the event floor, in noisy and crowded areas or in outside event locations.
  • Frequently encounters uncomfortable temperatures, dust and/or other conditions.
  • Requires working both alone and with others in a team atmosphere.
  • Requires working with union and Non-Union employees.
