Mac Mechanical is looking to hire a Full-Time Service Plumber. This person will be on the front lines of our customer service process. We expect applicants to have a complete understanding of the elements of being a Service Plumber. We do not focus on sales but focus on providing the best technical knowledge and customer service. If we treat our customers right, our business will continue to grow. MAC Mechanical is redefining what it means to be a tradesperson today. Our Service Plumber starts out at $28.00/hour (or more with experience).

MAC Mechanical, based in Little Rock, Arkansas, started as McElderry Plumbing in 2006 with one man and one truck. As our business grew, exclusively through referrals from our customers, we added more trucks and more technicians and expanded our services. Today, we provide high-quality, residential and commercial plumbing and heating and air services throughout the central Arkansas area, as well as providing mechanical contracting services. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A SERVICE PLUMBER

As a Service Plumber, you are a critical component of our highly-trained service team. On the front lines of our customer process, you are responsible for impeccable customer service and completing jobs efficiently with a high level of skill. Your primary responsibility is maintaining efficiency and safety on jobs and completing all necessary documentation. You will accomplish this by staying up to date on all Arkansas Plumbing and Gas Code and seeking out educational opportunities as they come available in addition to keeping organized notes. Your efforts result in satisfied clients who are loyal to our company.

You work closely with our service dispatchers to ensure appointments are completed on time. You will also work closely with other service technicians and service management to perform high quality work and complete jobs on time. You are responsible for receiving and completing work orders. You are responsible for ordering materials and organizing jobs. You will have the opportunity to train and mentor apprentice plumbers. Highly organized and motivated, you continually work on your own professional development and find ways to improve your process. You love interacting with new people every day, find the challenge engaging, and look forward to advancing as an employee!


QUALIFICATIONS FOR A SERVICE PLUMBER

  • Willingness to provide an excellent level of customer service.
  • Ability to talk and listen to clients about problems in their homes.
  • Be a solutions expert.
  • Offer solutions that are within the client's budget.
  • Valid Arkansas Driver's License.
  • Valid Arkansas Journeyperson or Master Plumbing License.
  • Working knowledge of the latest Arkansas plumbing and gas codes.
  • Maintain a reliable smartphone that can send/receive calls and texts and download apps.
  • Shall be able to push, pull or lift 50lbs.
  • Shall be able to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Shall be able to climb stairs, ladders, and scaffolds.
  • Shall have average hearing and vision in both ears and eyes.
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures and in all weather conditions.
  • Shall furnish own hand and battery-powered tools.
  • Shall have reliable transportation.
  • Shall be dependable to show up for work on time and responsible for completing job duties.

WORK SCHEDULE

This position is a full-time position, with standard workdays of Monday-Friday. Start time is 7:30 and we finish when jobs are done (usually between 3:30-5:30). We value Balance, so 40-hour work weeks are pretty standard, but there are opportunities for overtime hours. Nights and weekends are occasionally required. Each Plumber is placed on a rotating call schedule.
