Emerging Technology Group (ETG) is ServiceNow’s DT internal incubation group. Being customer zero for ServiceNow products we ensure the products works for us internally and delivers value as it gets in hands of our customers. With AI everywhere we are responsible for advance technology services which cuts across the enterprise like Search, Conversational Interfaces, Automation, and helping our DT developers to be productivity to build enterprise grade products on ServiceNow Platform. We are focused on accelerating innovations and developing new concepts, forward-thinking solutions and products leveraging ServiceNow’s Intelligent platform. 

The Role:

The ServiceNow Platform Architect is a hands-on role, responsible for helping our stakeholders establish a strong technical foundation in the ServiceNow Platform and design solutions that drive business outcomes. This entails establishing and supporting best practices around Enterprise Search strategy, technical governance, content, micro services and the overall health of the platform.  This role interfaces with the business stakeholders, product owners, enterprise architects and development teams in designing solutions, implementation, and on-going operations related to ServiceNow solutions.

An ideal candidate will have experience working as an enterprise architect with a successful track record focused on technology strategy, governance, data and solution design. They will have demonstrated the ability to become a trusted advisor to senior executives and facilitate stakeholder success from strategic or annual planning functions including business value identification, road mapping, as well as advising and defining successful execution strategies including governance frameworks and managing large enterprise programs.

What you get to do in this role:

  • Developing strong relationships with the business leaders to understand the stakeholder’s vision and how ServiceNow plays in their digital transformation journey. Translate business objectives to outcomes through the visual roadmap.
  • Interact with other architecture personnel (enterprise and solution) Enterprise architecture to: 
    • Analyze and translating translate business information and technical requirements into an architectural blueprint that outlines solutions to achieve complex business objectives
    • Establish and advise on the technical governance related domains and associated processes
  • Work with the business stakeholder teams to establish delivery operating model governance to ensure successful go-lives, end-user adoption and on-going support
  • Guide the stakeholders through a prescriptive solution design and manage through the technical implementation decision points
  • Define solutions across the platform that align to delivered capabilities

Qualifications

To be successful in this role you have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 8+ Years of technical program management experience managing complex cloud-native products, applications, and platforms 
  • Deep understanding of Systems Engineering principles in product development
  • Ability to Identify business objectives and develop outcome-focused roadmaps
  • Enterprise Architecture Experience
    • Enterprise or Solution Architect role and/or relevant experience.
    • Data modeling, core data design, security, integrations, configuration management
  • Prior experience with developing and delivering technology projects or products
  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams in multiple geo-locations, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Expertise in rapidly standing up processes and collaborative platforms like Share point, and building reports and dashboards
  • Ability to learn fast and master technical subjects and technologies relevant to the program.
  • Strong planning, scheduling, and organization skills. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and fun team environment.
  • Team player attitude and willingness to work across the organization and company to continue improving the way we serve our customers. 

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

  • Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience working directly with machine learning technologies, statistical systems, or big data platforms
  • Basic knowledge and some exposure to Generative AI landscape and Large Language models highly desirable
  • Prior experience with ServiceNow products and/or processes
  • Proven results from establishing and optimizing software engineering processes for different organizations/environments
  • Experience in a start-up environment is beneficial.
