About the role

We are seeking a Linguistic Contractor to support our work on building conversational companions. The role involves supporting the development of AI voices through data annotation, quality control, and design of linguistic evaluation processes

The contract duration is 3–6 months, part-time (approximately 10 hours per week to start, with the potential to increase).

Responsibilities: 

  • Evaluate and refine linguistic data to improve AI models.

  • Provide expert judgment on language-related tasks.

  • Ensure quality and consistency in data annotation.

  • Collaborate with AI researchers to design linguistic evaluation processes.

Required qualifications:

  • Native speaker of Latin-American Spanish.

  • Fluent in English.

  • Experience with data annotation work or language service providers.

  • Background in linguistics (degree or relevant experience).

Location: Remote, based near New York City. There is an expectation for occasional office visits.
