Job Summary:

In Hanover, PA we produce Rings and Seals for the Aerospace and Industrial markets. Extreme product range fragmentation, complex product design, very high-quality standards and traceability requirements are the peculiarity of our Business Unit. The Set Up and Operator will work in the Leakage Cell of our Sealing Rings Department.You will have the opportunity to make aerospace and industrial parts or products on an experimental or trial basis as needed to develop production methods. All hourly employees will be part of the United Steelworkers Union (USW). Due to the nature of the work, US citizenship is required.

You will be using the following equipment (including and not limited to):

Ace Grinders, Cam Turns, End Clearance, Deburring, Manual and NC Turning, Manual and NC Milling, Internal and OD Grinders.

Responsibilities Include but Not Limited to:

• Set up and operate a variety of machine shop equipment and machinery in the leakage cell.
• Work from verbal or written instructions, sketches, process sheets, and prints.
• Make fixtures, gages and tooling as necessary.
• Assist others in developing methods and procedures.
• When needed perform established production operations.
• On occasion set-up for other operators.
• Operating tolerances usually within .0001 - .00025" range.
• Wash rings and dip in protective coating.
• Dress wheels, inspect for low spots, grooves, cuts, chatter and smoothness; re-dress if necessary.
• Replace worn wheels and adjust grinding heads.
• Maintain coolant supply and hydraulic system fluid.
• Maintain work areas in a neat, safe, clean and orderly fashion.
• Notify supervision of any problems or difficulties.
• Refer to supervisor for clarification of priorities, objectives, or policies.

Job Education and Requirements:

• Due to the nature of the work, US citizenship is required.
• HSD, GED or equivalent experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Be available to work 2nd shift (M-F, 3p-11p).
• Knowledge of and able to read and understand blueprints preferred.
• Knowledge of measurement equipment such as gauges and mics.
• Able to effectively work in an environment requiring independent judgment, and self-motivation with customer focus.
• All hourly employees will be part of the United Steelworkers Union (USW).
