SharkNinja is looking for a Mechanical, Industrial engineer or an Engineering management major to work with the Cost Engineering team in Boston. You will work on Shark and Ninja new product lines. SharkNinja prides itself on affordable product innovation, ease of use and a hyper focus on the consumer. The successful candidate will have an interest in product development, be curious on how things are made and use innovation to drive to a low product cost. the individual will work closely with advance development, new product development and new product introduction teams.
Responsibilities
· Coordinate product details to help generate an independent product cost
· Generate or support the generation of “should” cost based on the product requirements.
· Ability to understand and dissect large amount of data, mostly in the form of Costed bills of materials.
· Deliver reports or summaries of data with the ability provide clear conclusions.
· Work with supply chain related to critical components.
· Utilize design, engineering skills and manufacturing knowledge to provide lower cost concepts or ideas which meet the product intent.
· Work with cross functional teams to supporting costing and product development activities.
· Participate in product reviews and focused Hack meeting.
· Teardown, debug and analyzing electro-mechanical products.
Preferred qualifications
· Demonstrate analytical organizational skills, strong attention to detail relentless drive and creativity to get to a low cost.
· Able to work independently
· Strong MS Excel skills
· Knowledgeable in manufacturing processes; in particular plastics and sheet metal processes as well as Assembly methods.
· Skills in CREO or SolidWorks
· Presentations Skills delivering clear summaries
