? What You’ll Do:

This role will provide overall leadership and ? oversight of the development, implementation, and management of SharkNinja’s Internet of Things (IoT) and mobile strategies. ?

This role partners closely with product teams, defines and leads technology roadmaps for our web and mobile products, ensuring SharkNinja continues to be a global leader. The leader will be focused on our mobile engineering efforts across both iOS and Android, creating solutions allowing our customers to quickly manage their devices on-the-go using the latest technology solutions. ?

This position will be responsible for leading cross- functional teams to design, build, and maintain connected devices and software applications that leverage IoT data to deliver innovative solutions and drive business value across various product lines and customer experiences. This role requires a deep understanding of IoT technologies, mobile platforms, software development and business needs, often collaborating with product management, engineering, sales, and marketing teams to ensure successful product launches and ongoing operation of IoT ecosystems. ?

A successful candidate will be a digital leader who understands the complexities of connected devices. They will act as a single point of contact who can communicate cross functionally and to leadership about IoT and apps, both from a technology standpoint and the consumer point of view. In addition, they will have end to end mobile product life cycle knowledge and expertise. 

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Vision:  ?

  • Define the company's IoT and app strategy, aligning it with overall business goals, identifying market opportunities, and determining the technology roadmap for connected devices and applications. ?

Product Development:  ?

  • Lead the design, development, and launch of new IoT products and applications, including defining product requirements, user experience, and technical specifications; connect daily with PD leaders to align on the consumer facing requirements. ?

Team Management:  ?

  • Oversee cross-functional teams of engineers, software developers, product managers, data analysts, and other technical staff responsible for IoT development and operations. ?

Technology Leadership:  ?

  • Stay abreast of emerging IoT technologies, standards, and platforms, evaluating and implementing new solutions to optimize system performance and scalability. ?

Data Analytics:  ?

  • Manage the collection, analysis, and utilization of IoT data to generate actionable insights for business decision-making and customer experience improvement. ?

Security & Compliance:  ?

  • Ensure robust security measures are in place to protect sensitive IoT data and comply with industry regulations regarding data privacy and security. ?

Partner Management:  ?

  • Collaborate with external vendors, technology partners, and ecosystem players to integrate IoT solutions and optimize product offerings. ?

Customer Focus:  ?

  • Understand customer needs and pain points, incorporating feedback into product development and ensuring a seamless user experience for IoT applications; own the App consumer journey end to end.

  • Extensive experience in IoT technology, including hardware design, software development, cloud platforms, data analytics, and development testing ??
  • Proven leadership skills in managing large, cross- functional teams ?
  • Deep understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, DevOps) and project management practices ?
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to translate technical concepts into tangible business value ?
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams ?
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations related to data privacy and security
