Sheetz Distribution HR Business Partner

OVERVIEWPromote a safe and positive culture and handle aspects of HR-related business to include, but not limited to: Employee Relations, Training and Development of SDS Leaders and Employees, Policy Administration, Worker’s Compensation, Leave of Absence, and Employee Programs for Sheetz Distribution Services (SDS). Develops strong partnerships and provides guidance to managers and employees through interpreting policies and administering procedures in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, company guidelines, and company policies.RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)1. Establish and maintain an inclusive and positive culture in accordance with the Sheetz DNA and Sheetz Performance Standards.2. Establish and maintain routine partnership meetings with all SDS Managers to balance employee needs, terminal leadership needs and business needs.3. Maximize the development of internal talent through regular performance coaching, performance reviews and presenting developmental opportunities while promoting a positive culture.4. Partner with SDS managers to coordinate and administer disciplinary action, investigations, and provide recommendations for resolution on a wide variety of Employee Relations issues in alignment with the Sheetz culture and a focus on compliance with Sheetz employment policies as well as all federal, state, and local employment laws.5. Align department and employee goals with the strategic goals of the HR Department, SDS and the organization.6. Responds to Employee Hotline calls and Exit Interview feedback, working in conjunction with SDS Managers.7. Actively support the Sheetz Legal Department with the Company’s response to EEOC complaints, employment-related litigation, etc.8. Ensures smooth completion of the Onboarding and Orientation processes for new hires.9. Reviews and responds to statistical reports concerning turnover, staffing, leave of absence, worker’s compensation/restrictions and safety incidents.10. Monitor worker’s compensation claims, coordinate light duty work assignments, maintain records and accurately communicate work restrictions and appointment schedules with Supervisors and Safety. Manage worker’s compensation incidents to effectively reduce lost time claims.11. In conjunction with Workforce Development, evaluate, develop and conduct training materials for employees and managers related to human resources topics. Serve as a trainer/presenter at various company orientations, trainings and events.12. Support and organize facility events including but not limited to: Sheetz for the Kidz, Driver Appreciation Week, employee parties or events, etc.13. Collaborate with other SDS HR Business Partners to assure HR compliance and consistency between distribution centers.14. Lead and execute special projects or HR initiative work as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS(Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered)Education• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or related field requiredExperience• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in human resources performing generalist duties required• Minimum of 2 years of management experience preferredLicenses/Certifications• PHR/SPHR and/or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP Certification preferredTools & Equipment• Phone, Fax, Laptop, Printers, Copiers
