Shift Supervisor - Coating

Job Summary

The Shift Supervisor is responsible for leading the crew on shift. He/she needs to understand Autonomous Maintenance methodology and be able to train, develop and implement the methodology to eliminate losses. This individual is also responsible for decision making regarding productivity and quality needs. The Shift Supervisor is also responsible for the skill and knowledge development and training of his/her crew. They are the link between all the processes, maintenance, logistics.
The position is based in Denton, TX, USA.
Tetra Pak is not considering applicants (Internal or External) who require international relocation to the United States.

What you will do

As a Shift Supervisor – Coating you will:

• Ensure execution of Autonomous Maintenance (AM) routines on a shift basis.
• Standard maintenance through audits.
• Single Event Analysis for deviation (trigger points).
• Manage vacation scheduling and overtime for operators. Plan, approve & report.
• Ensure adherence to safe behavior and safe conditions and provide Safety Talk.
• Ensure appropriate shut down and start up procedures.
• Ensure deliveries on time.
• Follow up to internal claims.
• Review the machine feedback & order approvals.
• Drive along with AM engineer the evolution of AM route.
• Participate in improvement teams.
• Generate Operational standards.
• Drives and supervise operators’ performance.

We believe you have

• A High School Diploma, technical degree is a must. Nice to have Bachelor’s degree in related areas.
• Experience as a Production Supervisor of at least 2 years, in production processes or manufacturing environment is a must.
• Expert machine maintenance skills.
• Quality inspection and machine systems handling.
• Knowledge of P2 production system and SAP preferred.
• Knowledge in Autonomous Maintenance.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to read, understand and comply with work instruction, training manuals, safety rules, standard operating procedures and Continuous Improvement processes.
• Proficiency in English is a must, Spanish a plus.
