Job Description

Job Summary:

The Instructional Content Designer creates clear, engaging digital learning experiences that help global end users understand and apply software, workflows, and business processes. This role is responsible for scripting, storyboarding, and producing video-based and interactive e-learning content using tools like Articulate Storyline, Adobe Creative Suite, and AI-based platforms. Partnering with subject matter experts and the Senior Instructional Designer, the role translates complex technical information into user-friendly, real-world training modules. It applies adult learning principles and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to ensure content is relevant and effective. The Instructional Content Designer also contributes to ongoing content updates, supports learning initiatives across time zones, and stays current with evolving design practices and learning technologies. Success in this role requires strong communication, collaboration, and adaptability in a fast-paced, global environment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design micro-learning and video training content that enables end users to effectively use our software, workflows, and processes in real-world scenarios
  • Develop instructional scripts, visual frameworks, and content outlines for interactive and video-based e-learning modules
  • Create detailed, visually driven storyboards in collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs) and the Senior Instructional Designer
  • Use tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Creative Suite, AI-powered platforms, or equivalent to design and build interactive content
  • Apply adult learning principles and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to ensure content is instructional, engaging, and effective
  • Conduct learner needs analysis to define learning goals, performance outcomes, and audience-specific requirements
  • Transform complex technical information into clear, engaging, and visually compelling digital learning content for a global audience
  • Translate functional software features into user-friendly training materials that support both internal and external learners
  • Review and revise content based on learner performance data and stakeholder feedback to ensure continuous improvement
  • Update training materials in response to product enhancements, evolving business needs, and user input
  • Collaborate across teams and time zones to ensure content meets the needs of a diverse, global learner base
  • Stay current with best practices, learning technologies, and instructional design methodologies to continuously enhance content quality
  • Demonstrate flexibility, curiosity, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Please Note: our training content is for a global audience so will interact with team members from different time zones and creating content in different languages.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications (knowledge, skills, and abilities):

  • Must reside either in Mexico, India, or Poland.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Learning Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum three (3) years of work experience in designing e-learning content, including interactive modules and video-based training and/or related.
  • Fluency in English (written and verbal), with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in a global, cross-functional environment.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing content for a variety of learning modalities (e.g., instructor-led, eLearning, remote, and blended learning)
  • Solid understanding of instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM), adult learning principles, and industry best practices.
  • Experience in storyboarding, storytelling, and translating complex concepts into clear, engaging visuals and narratives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills, with a sharp eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, especially PowerPoint, eLearning tools, and graphic design and video editing software, such as Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong technical and creative writing skills.
  • Strong proficiency in instructional design and authoring tools, video editing tools, visual design tools (e.g., Articulate, Filmora, Camtasia, LMS, and Artificial Intelligence Software).

Preferred Qualifications/Nice to Have:

  • Hospitality industry experience/knowledge
  • Training and Development background
  • Additional language proficiency in Spanish, German, French, or Chinese is a plus
