Shipper - Skill Level I/II

Experienced Professional

Verifycompliance with all order requirements, unload incoming material and placematerials in storage area, prepare product for shipment. (Enters and) maintainsprocessing logistics data, in order to make the flow of goods and values secureand efficient.

Job Duties:

  • Receive assignments,oral and/or written, from supervision.
  • Prepare and maintainpackaging materials & equipment:

o Sort and weigh materials

o Verify order quantitiesand final release status

o Prepare cartons(labeling, lining when required, stenciling, etc.) for shipping.

o Prepare storage palletsand/or boxes using small hand tools, handling equipment, lumber etc. asrequired to store materials so as to prevent damage

  • Verify document packageis complete:

o Packing slip

o Commercial invoice

o Shipper’s Letter ofInstructions (SLI)

o Certificate of Origin(COO)

o Certificate ofConformance (COC)

  • Must be able to receiveand ship in the “Set P Portal”.
  • Must be able to comprehendand perform SAP logistic functions.
  • Load material forshipment onto carrier using appropriate material handling equipment. Properly load truck to prevent liabilitycaused by unsafe loading conditions.
  • Receive incomingproduct, materials, supplies, etc:

o Unload and verifyquantity, weight, measurements etc to packing slip - Receiving

o Visually inspect forshipping damage and report any discrepancies to Procurement and/or QA -Receiving

o Enter data into thedesignated reports and systems.

  • Review documentsprovided with incoming shipments:

o COC and/or COO for allInventory/ Subcontract Purchase Order receipts

o Return Authorizations onreturned product

o HSE compliance such asMSDS data with all chemicals and Hazmat documentation – before receipt into system.

  • Make assignment ofincoming materials’ location and enter into designated operating system.Dispatch and/or move materials to specified areas.
  • Maintain variousreceiving records as defined by management.
  • Process purchasereceipts and sales order shipments for drop shipments.
  • Process “in house”receipts (contracts for design, repair, customer owned material, services etc.)to close out purchase orders.
  • Notify supervision ofirregularities or equipment malfunctions.
  • Keep work area clean,orderly, and in safe condition

Skillsand Qualifications:

  • High school education orits equivalent is required.
  • Working knowledge of SAP for Receiving and Shipping functions required.
  • Requires goodcommunication and telephone skills.
  • Requires basic MicrosoftOffice skills, especially in Work and Excel.
  • Prepare shipping documentation via SharePoint.
  • Must successfully complete Fork Truck Training and be approved to use specific equipment.
  • Must successfully complete Level I/II Visual Inspection Certification.
  • Must review and be familiar with applicable Siemens Standard Practice Procedures related to this job position.
