Shipping Clerk- Greenfield, IN

The Shipping Clerk Coordinates incoming and outgoing movement and storage of raw materials, finished products and parts that include functions such as warehousing, shop and delivery services to ensure material availability and delivery when needed to meet production schedules.

What you will do:

Labels, packs, and loads items for shipment according to specifications.
Unloads delivery vehicles, and moves items to appropriate area.
Inspects for damage, compares items and quantities received against freight bills or other records, and documents discrepancies.
Maintains records of all items received and shipped.
Coordinates incoming and outgoing movement and storage of raw materials, finished products and parts that include functions such as warehousing, shop and delivery services to ensure material availability and delivery when needed to meet production schedules

Compiles data on order volume, production schedules and forecasts and applies statistical methods to estimate future materials requirements

What you need to succeed:

Requires developed skills through formal training or considerable work experience.
Works within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision.
Requires developed skills to perform day-to-day activities.
Understands how the assigned duties relate to others in the team and how the team integrates with others. Has no supervisory responsibilities.
Recognizes and solves typical problems that can occur in own work area without supervisory approval; evaluates and selects solutions from established options.
Impacts the quality of own work. Uses communication skills to share information.
