Siemens Mobility US islooking for aspiring finance talents to come aboard for a 10–12-weekinternship journey where they will get exposure to what happens behind thescenes to make the rail world go round.During your summer journeywith us, you will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the Finance andPerformance Management department, where you will learn how financial planning,reporting and controlling is conducted to successfully steer Mobility’s complexNorth American business through its growth.If you are a rising, highlyenergetic and motivated senior pursuing an undergraduate degree in/aroundFinance, live in commuting distance to our Manhattan office, and are ready to discoverthe amazing opportunities that the rail industry has to offer then look nofurther.A little bit about us!Siemens Mobility provides efficient and coordinated transportation of people andgoods by rail – including rolling stock, rail automation, rail electrification,and service. We craft and manufacture across the entire spectrum of rollingstock, including commuter and regional passenger trains, light rail andstreetcars, metros, locomotives, passenger coaches, and high-speed trainsets.Cities and Railroads also rely on us to provide traction-power substations andelectricity transmission, as well as signaling and control technology forfreight and passenger rail and transit systems.How does our department play into the bigpicture?Our Finance and Performance ManagementDepartment is responsible for all financial planning, reporting andcontrolling tasks in Mobility’s North American region. The team aims to enablefact-based decisioning that drives business performance to safeguard and fostertrust in Siemens Mobility’s capabilities and financial integrity. It is furtherdedicated to cultivate a culture of fairness, transparency and continuousimprovement enhancing sustainable growth.What you will do…·Learnabout our monthly forecast and reporting processes·Workwith experienced financial experts to learn about the core principles offinancial integrity and financial KPI analysis through shadowing and theassignment of relevant tasks to build up your practical knowledge.·Interfacewith different areas of the Finance and Performance Management department andlearn about how collaboration and teamwork drives success·Gaininsight into Finance and Performance Management’s essentials related toactivities such as: Project Performance Reviews, Data Handling and Analytics,Report Aggregation and Presentations, Financial Close Support and many moreCritical Capabilities:• Resourcefulness• Problem solvingand can-do mentality• Eager to learn,grow and contribute• Collaborative andteamwork-oriented mindset• Ability to workindependently as neededBasic Qualifications:• Mustbe pursuing a bachelor’s or advanced degree in Business Administration /Finance or similar from an accredited college or university• Legalauthorization to work in the US is required• Mustreside or go to school near internship location Manhattan (New York)Preferred Qualifications:• Preferredcumulative GPA of 3.0• Previousinternship experience or relevant school projects• Strongcommunication skills – verbal and written• Ability to work ona team• Interest in learning aboutthe finance and the rail industryThe hourly pay range for this position is $22 -$26 per hour, based off your projected graduation year.
