Product Design Intern- Remote (Summer 2025)

As a Product Design intern at Brightly Software, you will be entrusted with real, impactful projects that you will take from ideation to implementation. Your work will be a crucial part of our team's efforts, and you will collaborate closely with your mentor and the rest of the design team, as well as other functions such as product management, engineering, data science, marketing, and sales. Your broad set of UX skills and your motivation to learn from doing will be highly valued. Over the course of the summer, you'll have the opportunity to deliver meaningful contributions to both the company and the products, making a real difference in our team's work.Your experience will include:• Working in the Product Design team that is responsible for the consistent user experience (UX) across our product portfolio.• Bringing the voice of the user to the forefront to shape the user experience and design for crucial, high-growth product areas.• Create mockups, wireframes, and prototypes to communicate the design with product and engineering teams.• Conduct usability tests with users to validate high-risk designs before the feature is implemented and adjust the designs based on feedback.• Conduct user studies to understand user problems behind product features and provide solutions that exceed their expectations.• Understand the markets we serve and has deep understanding of the users in the markets. Define user personas and Jobs-to-be-done specific user roles in the target markets.• Collaborate with developers to build delightful experiences that are feasible. Understands the technology behind the products enough to have meaningful conversations with developers about feasibility.• Work in a fast-paced, agile environment supporting multiple products.• Be curious about users, UX, and our products, and willing to learn from doing.Interns will start in late May 2025 and are approved to stay until August 31, 2025.Qualifications & Experience• The ideal candidate will have an interest in designing products that solve big, complicated problems in the enterprise UX space• Work examples that demonstrate an understanding of user-centered design principles• Experience using design tools like Figma.• Interest in designing for Web applications and Mobile apps• Studying in the fields of visual design, human factors, user experience design, or computer scienceBehavioral Competencies• Self-confidence: Confident, without an ego, to have both the conviction and willingness to make design decisions as well as the confidence to seek collaborative solutions• Strong work ethic: Ability to overcome setbacks and enthusiastically persist until ambitious goals are achieved—must be resourceful, creative, and innovative.• Accountable: Results-oriented team player who takes ownership and champions efforts with enthusiasm and conviction.• Great attitude: Creative, resourceful, collaborative, adaptable, fun, with a solid sense of humor and the ability to influence others.All qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the US.
