Position Overview:
Siemens Mobility
Customer Service is GROWING and seeking an experienced Project Director to lead
the execution of a large multi-billion-dollar complex Transit project 30 years
duration. You will be fully responsible for fulfillment of all contractual
requirements and P&L of the project. This is an outstanding opportunity to be
involved in the completion of a project management target
agreement and conclusion of a project target matrix with the core team. This
will involve commercial project execution with focus topics of Claim/Contract
Management, Accounting, Insurances, Currency Management, Procurement, Tax
Concepts, Delegations, Export Control, NCC Reporting, Asset Management, etc. You will report
to the Head of Projects.
What your day-to-day will look like:
• Preparation
of OEC/ EAC,
• Creation
of a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and allocation of the requirements to the
core team leaders,
• Reading
of the contract with the core team,
• Creation
of a list of clearly defined responsibility,
• Consideration
of service requirements to consorts and suppliers in the contracts,
• Alignment
on the interface matrix between vehicle supplier unit,
• Monthly
update of the risk contingency through joint risk workshops with the core team,
• The
release of service-relevant customer documentation (e. g. maintenance
documentation, spare parts’ catalog, documentation for special tools),
• Set-up
of the interface to the vehicle supplier unit and the associated exchange of
information, e. g. regarding design, supplier or product changes during the
planning, installation, and commissioning phase (engineering, purchasing),
• Planning
and securing the appropriate resources and functional leadership of the service
project team,
• Ensuring
the documentation of service-specific requirements in the product development
phase and subsequent implementation in the contracts with the suppliers,
• Ensuring
of a service participation at the Q-Gates meetings incl. verification of
requirements fulfillment (e. g. readiness checks, FAIs, Project Management achievements,
etc.),
• Approval
of contracts (service part) for the components/subsystems for signature.
To thrive in this role, you have:
• Bachelor
of Science Degree in Engineering
• 15+
years of increasing responsibility in project management roles
• Understanding
of the Rolling Stock design and maintenance methodology
• Project
Management Professional (PMP), (IPMA) and/or Internal Siemens PM / PD
certification
• Experience
working in Cross-Border / International Projects
• Strong
financial (i.e. Project Controlling), leadership, and analytical skills
• Profound
understanding of business processes in Sales and Project execution
• Ability
to lead and encourage and drive results
• Excellently demonstrated verbal and
written communication, and presentation skills in English.
• Well
demonstrated interpersonal skills with ability to interact effectively within
cross-functional teams in collaborative style
• Excellent
customer focus skills
• Ability
to travel 25%

The base salary range for this position in Nevada is $170,000-$230,300 and the
annual incentive target is 20% of the base salary The
actual salary/wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and
candidate experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
