Our Smart Buildings help to create efficient, safe, adaptable, and responsible environments.This position is responsible for the development, profitable growth, collaboration and life cycle management of the assigned customer within the Data Center market. In the role, the global account manager represents Siemens in all sales/strategic activities and act as interface between the customer and the Siemens organization (including areas such as business development, engineering, and service). The global account manager creates and implements an account business plans including tasks to increase market share, maintain and develop new opportunities, improve gross margins and enhance local sales team performance. Key successful behaviors in the role include strategies to improve share of wallet, looking across business lines to identify new or expanded profitable growth for Siemens, and an ability to identify and team across multiple departments. In your role you will also serve as a key team member to evaluate and recommend new account strategies specific to the data center market and will work closely with peers to identify and repeat business model opportunities across adjacent market verticals. Typical client assignments as a global account manager will include those companies whose reach spans across a broad set of geographies and potentially expand into multiple markets served by Siemens. The position reports directly into the center of competence for data centers, allowing the global account manager to interact across multiple businesses and countries in Siemens.Regional Account Manager - Smart Infrastructure / Data Centers - RemoteThis position will be remote in the continental US.Role Description• Developing a solid and trusting relationship between client and Siemens growing in trust and thought leadership• Developing a complete understanding of account needs and manage the business planning process including the documentation and update of an effective, global account strategic and implementation plan to improve Siemens’ client results• Explore areas to grow share of wallet with client, crossing multiple businesses of Siemens both locally and globally• Seek and engage client in co-value creation to drive relationship depth, breadth and longevity• Work with the customer and business to identify and realize common measurements of success (KPI, OKR, etc)• Managing communications between client and internal teams via identification and commitment of internal resources for pre-sale, sale and post-sale activities• Execute using effective tools and processes as well as selling team management system and cadence – pipeline pursuit & closure, program implementation, relationship development and management• Detail account organization and roster of key decision maker, and execution/operator resources• Analyzing client data, inputs, and voice as a key input toward guide Siemens forward actionsYou will win us over by having the following qualifications:Basic Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree• Ability to travel 50%+ of time in accordance with business need (domestically and internationally)• Ten years’ previous work experience in sales, management (with a preference for 5+ years sales mgt leadership), or key account management• 5+ years of experience within the Data Center industry• 5+ years of experience in power/electrical systems and/or building automation systems• 3+ years of experience in a role requiring account and or business planning• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorizationPreferred Qualifications:• Demonstrated working network and prior influential experience in the data center infrastructure business• Ability to thrive in an environment involving significant multitasking and balancing across client workloads• Extensive demonstrated ability to build and scale a customer account while operating in a fast-paced environment• Collaborative leader with excellent interpersonal skills• Strong negotiation skills, with ability to follow-through on client contracts• Proven results of delivering client solutions and meeting/exceeding sales targets• In-depth understanding of data center clients with demonstrated industry influence• Ability to effectively navigate the client’s organization and the internal organization for action and resultsSiemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to our employees. The pay range for this position is $118,800 - $203,700 and is eligible is eligible for Sales Incentive.
