You’ll be joining an experienced department which promotes an open and collaborative team culture to develop innovative and market leading molecular imaging systems. Candidates should be comfortable with all aspects of the product life cycle as our development cycle begins with concept generation and ends with product sustaining. Our team utilizes cutting edge development tools as well as Agile development principlesThis is a role well suited to an ambitious professional, looking for the next step in their career. As an embedded software engineer, you will be responsible for:· You will be implementing embedded software using C/C++ programming languages· You will be performing board and system level processor integration using development environments in Windows, Linux, and MQX· You will be coordinating with board and system level design engineers· You will be creating documentation of new software command interfaces, features, and verification plans· You will be utilizing C# and python to create GUI applications for automated testing of hardware and to create debugging and integration tools for new designs· Depending on the candidate, you may be implementing firmware using VHDLThis position may suit you best if you are familiar with what is below, and would like to do develop your career with Healthineers· You have demonstrated excellence working with some of the following: embedded software development, Unix/Linux environments, application development, software verification and validation· You have demonstrated an interest and ability to learn other coding languages and frameworks as needed· You possess a proficiency in C/C++ programming languages for embedded and real-time operating systems (RTOS)· You are familiar with the Xilinx/Intel embedded software development tool suites, for both soft and hard processor subsystems· You adhere to common software development processes for writing reliable/maintainable code and performing unit testing· You are proficient in reading and understanding complex electrical schematics· You have experience working in a team environment and have strong organizational and interpersonal skills· You have experience with FDA software development regulations for medical equipment· Experience with VHDL and Xilinx tools preferredRequired skills to have for the success of this role· Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical, Software, or Computer Engineering· Minimum of 3-5 years of embedded software development experience· Occasional (5%) travel may be requiredAt Siemens Healthineers, we value those who dedicate their energy and passion to a greater cause.
