Then come and join our global team as a Software Architect to create and maintain our PET and SPECT architecture and to ensure that the technical quality our systems delight our customers.We are seeking a passionate, experienced, hands-on Software Architect to define and guide the technical direction of our state-of-the-art medical imaging software and its interaction with the rest of our systems. This position is ideally located in Knoxville, TN, however we would be happy to locate it at Hoffman Estates, IL. A relocation package will be provided for out of state candidates.As a Software Architect, you will be responsible for providing the architectural vision of these products over their complete scope and ensuring this vision's sustainability and integrity over the product's entire lifetime. You will be expected to:· Drive technical decisions based on a clear focus on meeting business needs and meeting all relevant requirements: clinical and service, functional and non-functional· Guide, coach and motivate other architects and developers over the entire lifetime of a project to enable, support, and enforce all architectural aspects.· Provide guidance to executive staff on technical topicsSuccessful candidates will have excellent communication skills and can work with the development team, management, and other stakeholders outside of the software team to pragmatically guide the project team’s technical direction to achieve overall business goals.Prior experience in the healthcare sector and a working knowledge of DICOM, PACS, and the Siemens syngo platform is preferred.Required skills to have to be successful in this role· Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline· 8+ years’ experience building successful software systems· 3+ years’ experience as an architect, technical lead, or senior developer overseeing the technical direction of other developers· Experience with object-oriented languages & frameworks (C#/C++) and Microsoft/Web technology stacks· Development experience with systems-oriented and distributed software platforms· Experience working in a regulated environmentAt Siemens Healthineers, we value those who dedicate their energy and passion to a greater cause.
