Sr. Accountant

We are seeking a Sr. Accounting SME to support our IRS Professional Financial Management and Audit program. This position is contingent upon contract award, and if awarded we're anticipating that the role would be performed on a hybrid basis with onsite support in Washington, DC. In this role you will assist with preparing the following audited and pro forma statements:

1) Balance Sheet

2) Statement of Changes in Net Position

3) Statement of Budgetary Resources

4) Notes to the Financial Statements

5) Required Supplementary Information

6) Other Information

7) Any additional statements or information required by OMB Circular A-136

Assist with the preparation and/or review of recurring work paper analysis and posting models and perform variance analysis of GL accounts and financial statement line items

Assist with the implementation of new/amended accounting standards and regulations, and new/updated business processes.

Assist with documenting policies and guidance included in standard operating procedures and/or Internal Revenue Manual.

Other related duties as assigned

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• 5+ years of experience with at least 3 working with federal generally accepted accounting principles, techniques, and practices. 
• Must have proven experience in SAP Federal Financial Management and Procurement software. 
• Audited and unaudited financial statements compilation
• Financial Reporting

• IRS CFO Experience

• Knowledge of the current IRS financial management system 

At Significance, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and is determined within a range. Our pay ranges are based on the local cost of labor benchmarks for each specific role, level, and geographic location.

The salary range listed is for the level at which this job has been scoped. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply.
