This role falls under the Member Engagement team of Signify Health. Your responsibility will be to connect with members of various healthcare plans under Medicare Advantage and Medicaid via telephone. You'll explain and offer free healthcare evaluations virtually or at their homes. Achieving departmental productivity, quality, and customer service targets will be your main objective.
You will be directly reporting to a Member Engagement Manager.
Your responsibilities:
- Generate approximately 50 outbound calls every hour using an automated dialer system to offer and schedule free virtual or home-based healthcare assessments with a provider.
- Follow professional scripts to ensure members are at ease with the terms, responding to objections tactfully and professionally.
- Display a positive, professional, and energetic demeanor towards clients, health plan members, and fellow colleagues.
- Meet daily performance expectations set by the department whilst observing shift schedules in a remote or an office setting.
- Modify, reschedule, and cancel appointments with members as well as contracted providers as required.
- Monitor your performance metrics like appointments set, calls handled, handle time and productivity via reporting systems.
- Immediately escalate any member complaints to the Member Engagement Managers.
- Participate occasionally in one-on-one coaching sessions.
- Compliance with HIPAA and other guidelines ensuring security and privacy while working with protected health information.
Who we seek:
- A High School Diploma or its equivalent is desirable.
- A minimum of 1 year's call center experience or 2+ years of general work experience is mandatory.
- Candidates with previous high volume outbound call center experience in a metrics-centric environment handling auto-dialer and scripts are given preference.
- An enthusiasm for working in a results-focused outbound call center milieu.
- Convincing yet courteous demeanor while handling member objections and issues.
- Effective communication skills characterized by a friendly and conversational tone.
- Strict adherence to daily schedule including timely start, breaks, lunch and end times.
- Strong technical acumen and the proficiency to simultaneously handle multiple systems while making calls.
- Fluency in English.

Work from home requirements:
- To qualify, you must have reliable internet service with a verified minimum of 10MB upload/download availability in your home.
- The company provides all the necessary equipment (keyboard, monitor, computer, headset, etc.). You are expected to provide your own workspace furniture and ensure a quiet workspace.
