Overview:
As the General Accountant, your responsibilities include, but are not limited to, setting up new vendors, reviewing check requisition submitted by internal users, reviewing vendor invoices, recording account payable entries in the accounting system, and reconciling the accounts payable general ledger.
Responsibilities:
- Review and approve incoming vendor invoices, verifying that expenses are in accordance to the Company’s policy, and allocating to proper GL account
- Process invoices and timely post vendor invoices in SAP for weekly payment run
- Respond to AP inquiries, resolve AP discrepancy and timely communicate with internal users and vendor
- Request required vendor documents, review for completeness and set up vendor in SAP
- Prepare weekly AP aging report to management and provide reason for long standing AP
- Continue to improve the AP management and payment process
- Assist with monthly closing activities as needed including but not limited to AP accrual, flux analysis, etc.
- Reconcile AP accounts and ensure the accuracy of general ledger accounts on a monthly basis
- Perform other accounting tasks as necessary, such as expense processing, etc.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- 1-2 years of AP/ Accounting experience
- Understanding of the Accounting/Account Payable process in general
- SAP experience is highly preferred
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skill
- Strong with Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, etc)
- Strong aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills with strong organization skill
- Capable of handling multiple tasks with various due dates
- Supports accounting team with other ad-hoc projects as needed
Compensation:
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position $68,000 - $92,000. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related skills and experience. Your Recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process. This is Non-Exempt position.
