Hardware Engineering Program Manager

About the role:

We’re looking for a Hardware Engineering Program Manager to embed within the hardware team and help design, develop, and refine custom, integrated solutions that enable our revolutionary autonomous flight technology.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Lead functional group development activities for a key product subsystem on next generation Skydio products
  • Work with functional engineering teams to define plans, prioritize engineering efforts, and generally ensure that all aspects critical to the product development cycle are met, including but not limited to: build readiness, testing set-ups and execution, key supplier kick-off and progress, major technical validations, etc.
  • Keep all various engineering (and non-engineering) teams in sync and moving forward towards major company-wide milestones 
  • Throughout the development cycle, track progress, communicate, and escalate issues as appropriate

  • Deep technical understanding of electrical or mechanical design processes
  • Experience designing, developing, and manufacturing electromechanical systems at consumer scale
  • Exceptional communication skills and natural ability to motivate/drive cross-functional internal teams and external vendors/partners towards a common goal
  • Highly analytical with the ability to organize and distill data as a key driver of rigorous product development decisions
  • You will be interfacing with highly technical teams, so an engineering degree or comparable work experience is required
  • Ability to remain flexible, calm, and creative in the face of uncertainty

Compensation: At Skydio, our compensation packages for regular, full-time employees include competitive base salaries, equity in the form of stock options, and comprehensive benefits packages. Compensation will vary based on factors, including skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience. Relocation assistance may also be provided for eligible roles. The annual base salary range for this position is $160,000 - 210,000*. Fundamentally, we believe that equity is the key to long-term financial growth, and we ensure all regular, full-time employees have the opportunity to significantly benefit from the company's success. Regular, full-time employees are eligible to enroll in the Company’s group health insurance plans. Regular, full-time employees are eligible to receive the following benefits: Paid vacation time, sick leave, holiday pay and 401K savings plan. This position and all associated benefits are subject to applicable federal, state, and local laws, as well as the Company’s policies and eligibility criteria.
