Summary:
We seek a results-driven HR Generalist to provide support and client services to our Smile family. This position is critical in helping our team support and deliver key business objectives and initiatives for the organization. In this role, you will This role will support business needs and objectives by providing timely and high-quality HR administrative support and effective manager support, driving talent acquisition initiatives, and engaging in organization and change initiatives.
Responsibilities:- Partner with the HR team to provide accurate administrative and communication support for key initiatives and projects
- Provide HR support and guidance to managers and employees for assigned business units on policies, procedures, employee relations, offboarding, and employment-related matters.
- Oversee and manage full-cycle onboarding and offboarding, including but not limited to documentation and offboarding support.
- Effectively manage Tier 1 employee relations and performance management matters. Escalate complex employee relations, performance management, and other employment-related matters to the senior HRBP.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
- Collaborate closely with the operations and management teams to align HR initiatives with organizational goals and objectives.
- Coach and provide direction to managers to enhance employee performance, goal setting, accountability, skill development, team building, communication, recruitment and retention, etc.
- Collaborate with managers and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Attend team and manager meetings with assigned business unit(s) to develop an in-depth understanding of needs, challenges, goals, and objectives.
- Coordinate, support, and advise on business unit realignment, career planning, change management, department and team design, and succession planning.
- Support HR initiatives including, but not limited to, HR technology, programs, processes, policies, and initiatives to support the growth of the business.
- Provide support in HR investigations, including preparing for interviews, drafting
- Conduct exit interviews and provide feedback to management.
- Ensure that accurate job descriptions are in place for all staff in the assigned business unit(s).
- Maintain knowledge of emerging employment-related legislation across Canada and the USA.
- Analyze trends and metrics with the HR group to recommend solutions, programs, and policies.
- Support the development and maintenance of HR policies and procedures.
- Comply with the privacy, security, and confidentiality policies.
Requirements:- 3-5 years of progressive HR experience in a generalist and/or Human Resources Business Partner capacity.
- A degree or diploma in a related discipline (HR, business administration), is preferred.
- Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills.
- Previous experience in supporting one or more business unit(s).
- Previous experience in managing and maintaining an efficient onboarding process.
- Experience with managing Employee Relations and performance issues
- Proficient in Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS, performance management, ATS and compensation systems.
- Ability to prioritize and plan work activities, effective time management, set goals and objectives, and organize tasks.
- Solutions-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze information skillfully, develop alternative solutions, and work well in group problem-solving solutions.
- Ability to adapt to an environment of growth and change.
- High discretion with sensitive and confidential information and strong attention to detail.
- Excellent and clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in a high-growth environment in the technology or healthcare industry is preferred.
$65,000 - $80,000 a year
