Job Description:

Crowe is seeking a Snowflake Developer to work on our Healthcare Data Platform. The person should have at least 1-3 years’ experience of working with SQL and able to convert business requirements into code.

  • Plan, design, develop and maintain the data architecture, data models and standards for various Data Integration & Data Warehouse projects in Snowflake
  • Perform Data Model design, ETL/ELT development optimized for efficient storage, access, and computation to serve various use cases.
  • Analyze the data quality, align technical design to data governance, address all the required non-business but operational requirements during the design and build of data pipelines
  • Provide advice, guidance, and best practices around Snowflake
  • Provide guidance on moving data across different environments in Snowflake
  • Create relevant documentation around database objects
  • Troubleshoot production support issues post deployment and come up with solutions as required
  • Assist the Product Owner in identifying and estimating data tasks.
  • Experience in Snowflake advanced concepts such as resource monitors, virtual warehouse sizing, query performance tuning, zero copy clone, time travel and understand how to use these features
  • Ensure the highest level of security for accessing and distribution of data

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or related fields.
  • 5+ years of experience in data Integration, ETL/ETL development, and database design or Datawarehouse design
  • Experience with writing complex SQL queries, especially dynamic SQL
  • Experience in Snowflake advanced concepts such as resource monitors, virtual warehouse sizing, query performance tuning, zero copy clone, time travel and understand how to use these features
  • Expertise in Snowflake data modelling, ELT using Snowflake SQL , Snowflake Task Orchestration implementing complex stored Procedures and standard DWH and ETL concepts
  • Experience with performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries
  • Experience of working with Healthcare Data
  • Experience with data security and role-based access controls
  • Experience of working with Microsoft SQL Server and extensive knowledge about writing Stored procedures

Other Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with DBT
  • Experience with Azure
  • Familiarity with Azure Data Factory
  • Snowflake certifications are a plus
