Job Description:
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a content producer who will be responsible for telling our story, focusing primarily on image design, to our educator and administrator audiences on our social media channels.
Reporting to the Director, Social Media Content (Educator and Administrator Audiences), the Senior Social Media Content Producer will create and drive graphic design and graphic storytelling in line with our overall social media unification strategy and content calendar.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Select and manage outside specialist graphic designers, illustrators, or agencies.
Utilize and maintain our tools for content management, tagging, digital asset management, and project task calendaring.
Be well-versed and attuned to the business models, opportunities, and best practices of social media platforms and modern brands. And help develop Scholastic’s overall social media competencies:
Deliver training, best practices, and tools to our internal stakeholders ensuring we are continuously improving while social media evolves.
Promote a culture of learning and development.

Qualifications
HOW YOU CAN FIT - Qualifications
Lover of books and reading.
3-5 years’ experience as a graphic designer in social media.
Preferred: professional experience in the education sector
A strong visual design portfolio that showcases a thoughtful approach to designing for audience needs.
Experience creating graphic design and storytelling across various social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, TikTok).
Ability to manage competing priorities.
Strong project management skills.
Ability to be kind, flexible, and adaptive in a fast-paced environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must.
Ability to create and deliver effective presentations.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere, Illustrator, InDesign), AEM, Figma, Sketch, Zeplin, Animation (gifs).
Artistic direction experience in photography, illustration, and potentially video.
Experience in creating multi-platform campaigns that include not just social media but web, mobile, video, or non–digital.
Strong understanding of color theory, typography, space, texture, iconography, and user-centered design.
Experience managing freelancers and vendors.
