What You'll Bring:

Seeking a highly motivated Software Intern to join our team and contribute to our ongoing efforts in code refactoring and building machine learning (ML) solutions for fraud prevention. As an intern, you will work closely with our experienced software engineers and data scientists to enhance our existing codebase and develop innovative ML models to combat fraud effectively.

Impact You'll Make:

Software intern developer assisting in code refactoring and building of ML systems for real time fraud solutions

• Collaborate with the development team to understand and analyze the existing codebase, identifying areas that require refactoring for improved performance, maintainability, and scalability.
• Refactor and optimize code to enhance system performance, code readability, and maintainability while adhering to best coding practices and standards.
• Assist in the design, development, and implementation of ML solutions for fraud prevention, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training, and evaluation.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the refactored code and ML models.
• Collaborate with data scientists to understand and incorporate advanced ML techniques, such as anomaly detection, pattern recognition, and predictive modeling, into fraud prevention solutions.
• Document code changes, project progress, and technical specifications to facilitate knowledge sharing and future development.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in code refactoring, ML, and fraud prevention to contribute innovative ideas and approaches.

Pay Scale Information :

The salary range for this position is $23,345.00 - $37,700.00. *The salary range for this position reflects the general range of compensation for this job and does not include our bonus incentive(s). This position is eligible for bonus incentive(s). At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual’s education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position, and market considerations.
