We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our small but mighty and growing Technology team here at Wpromote! The System


At Wpromote, we're developing something special called Polaris - a modern data and marketing intelligence platform that gives our clients a serious edge over their competition. The anticipated annual salary for this role will range from $80,000 - $120,000, based on consideration of a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years and depth of experience, education and certifications, competitive benchmarks, scope of responsibility, market dynamics, geographic location, and respective state’s salary threshold for exempt employees. The total compensation package for this role will include benefits (listed above).


*This position may be performed remotely in most states within the US, with some exclusions

You Will Be


  • Designing, developing, and maintaining the Polaris system, with particular emphasis on the back-end components
  • Directly involved in the whole Agile SDLC process with a self-managed, closely collaborating, focused, and cross-functional team
  • Implementing user-value features from concept to release
  • Planning and executing a sprint (in collaboration with the product manager)
  • Identifying technical tasks, estimating tasks, taking ownership of tasks, performing the tasks, and tracking their status toward completion
  • Writing high-quality code with a focus on ensuring readability, maintainability, and efficiency
  • Advancing the system foundation by exploring ideas, improving architecture, strengthening infrastructure, and managing compliance
  • Ensuring the security, cost efficiency, operational excellence, and reliability of the system
  • Monitoring, debugging, and solving any issues that arise
  • Working within modern technologies: React, Python, Django, Airflow, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, AppEngine, Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, and GKE on Google Cloud

You Must Have


  • 3+ years of work in software design and development, with particular emphasis on back-end and data-intensive systems
  • 2+ years of experience with Python and Django REST Framework or similar tech
  • Experience with creating database schemas and generating SQL for high-performance data analytics
  • Familiar with serverless computing services such as Cloud Run, App Engine, and Cloud Function
  • Proficient in git usage with BitBucket / GitHub
  • Strong unit test and debugging skills
  • Familiar with agile software engineering tools, software development methodologies, and release processes
  • A strong sense of urgency with tenacity, grit, and a curious mindset
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Available 9-5 Pacific Time

Nice to Have


  • Experience managing data flows for use in advanced analysis and AI
  • Experience provisioning and de-provisioning of immutable cloud infrastructure using an infrastructure-as-code approach
  • Experience using an "abstraction-first" approach to diagramming software architecture
  • Basic understanding of the digital marketing space and lexicon
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
