Software Engineer

Overview:

Oasis Systems has an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer located at the USAF Cryptologic and Cyber Systems Division in San Antonio, TX. This position will support the command and control of the information environment (C2IE) program. C2IE provides an artificial intelligence-enabled, scalable enterprise command and control, situational awareness, and data analytics capability.

JOB STATUS: Full time

TRAVEL: Occasional CONUS travel


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
(Education, Certifications, Experience, Skills)

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Secret, TS/SCI preferred

EDUCATION: Bachelors degree
CERTIFICATIONS:
EXPERIENCE LEVEL:
10 years' experience of which 3 years must be in the DoD; or 15 years' experience in lieu of bachelor's degree, of which 5 must be in the DoD in lieu of bachelor's degree.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

  • DoD acquisition or development experience required.
  • Artificial intelligence experience desired.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Apply a broad theoretical and practical knowledge of software engineering to include reviewing, preparing, and analyzing all types of documentation, planning, requirements, design, verification and validation, support, and test to include source code, configuration files, and engineering resolution support.
  • Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
  • Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.
  • Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
  • Improve operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures.
  • Obtain and license software by obtaining required information from vendors, recommending purchases, testing, and approving products.
  • Provide information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.
  • Accomplish engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
  • Develop software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes, investigating problem areas, and following the software development lifecycle .
  • Plan and/or implement agile software development techniques.
  • Plan and/or implement DevOps processes and techniques for cloud and non-cloud applications.
