Agilent Technologies, Inc. is seeking Software Engineering or Computer Engineering / Computer Science students to fill Internship roles at our Santa Clara, CA office in support of our VWorks analytical laboratory automation system work.
The Software Engineering Internship Program is a paid 12- to 16-month opportunity to perform work that is flexible throughout the school year and on school breaks. This internship is designed for students who have completed Junior year at an accredited 4-year university.
We are looking for a highly motivated software intern to work on R&D in a dynamic global small team.
Interns work in a multi-disciplinary team environment to assist in developing custom software applications in support of our customers. Responsibilities include gathering user requirements, design, implementation, and testing of software applications.
Completion of Junior year at an accredited 4-year university. Life sciences or other relevant biological field would be a plus.
Fast learner, highly motivated with good communication skills to solve challenging technical problems, in a start-up like environment.
Eager to learn new technologies, adopt new methodologies, and to expand existing programming skills
A systematic, goal-oriented and independent way of working.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, good work ethics, high sense of team-work, love to produce quality work and commitment to finish tasks on time
Strong analytical ability, algorithm background, and programming skills
Working knowledge of JavaScript scripting language
Required Skills:
Proficient with programming in C++ and C#/.NET.
Excellent grasp on data structures and OOP
Good debugging and problem solving skills
Solid experience in C++ and C# coding including multi-threaded applications, and code reviewing skills with any of the following background: CS, Mathematics OR Physics
The US pay rate for this position is $37.67 - $40.02 per hour, plus eligibility for paid holidays and medical benefits. Our pay rates are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum intern pay for the position across the relevant US location(s). Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including any job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training.
