Software Engineer in Test

Aumni is an investment analytics company based in Salt Lake City, Utah. At Aumni, we are creating an automated platform to extract information directly from venture capital deals and provide the most comprehensive strategic insights related to the economic and legal details in each investment. Our dashboard presents VC firms with an intuitive interface to make important decisions about their portfolio of investments and financial performance.

About the Role

We are looking for a strong SDET to help us continue to build out our core functionality. You will be expected to help keep our application performant and well-architected so that our code is maintainable, consistent, and readable for new developers. We are big believers in quality code, code linters, testing, and code reviews.

Aumni is a Ruby on Rails backend with a React front end implemented in our own from-scratch component system.

This position is for Salt Lake City (Cottonwood Heights) with relocation available.

Experience

• Creating e2e and API tests to cover new product features as they are developed, inside an existing test framework
• Maintaining suites of automated tests so that they remain useful, reliable, and lean.
• Adding features and capabilities to our test frameworks.
• Maintaining and adding new features to our test pipelines and CI infrastructure
• Representing the QA team on the product team they’re assigned to
• Skills
• 2+ years of automation or other software development experience preferred
• Strong experience with Java, or other OOP languages is a must
• Strong experience in an agile QA team is a must
• Strong experience with Selenium is a must
•  Experience with ELT/ETL testing is a plus
• JUnit or TestNG experience is a plus
•  API and Performance testing experience is a plus
•  Docker and kubernetes experience is a plus
