Join our international and diverse team of 40+ professionals from the fields of design, business, engineering, data and analytics, and QA. We are sharing the end-to-end responsibility for Sokos.fi starting from product vision and innovation to release and operations.

Your responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to join Sokos.fi team. In this role, you will be acting as a driving force for Sokos.fi product design and ensuring there is a world-class e-commerce user experience throughout the service as well as optimizing its usability and commercial success via continuous A/B testing. But it does not stop there: you will have a crucial role in turning sokos.fi renewed visual identity concept into a tangible user experience. You must therefore have a strong vision of how to turn appealing visual concepts into production-ready layouts.  

On a daily level, you will be part of a squad focusing on identifying customer challenges through the continuous discovery process and resolving them together with experts in business and technology. 

Your role in a nutshell: 

• Own sokos.fi UX in close collaboration with other designers. 

• Sketch and prototype fast, communicate your ideas effectively based on customer research and data, and produce implementation-ready layouts. 

• Be able to validate your ideas with end customers. 

• Mature our design and development collaboration practices. 

• In addition to CX metrics, focus on conversion and AOV KPIs as key drives for design decisions. 

• Working closely with Sokos.fi Design lead and fellow designers both within Sokos.fi but also a strong SOK Design community to ensure a holistic customer experience.  

Our workplace is at our Helsinki office, Ässäkeskus. However, the teams decide independently how often they work at the office. Currently, the team works in a hybrid model and meets at the office on average 2-3 days per week.

​Is this you?

You bring extensive experience in similar tasks, backed by a strong portfolio and excellent proficiency in design tools such as Figma. Your self-driven mindset, ability to collaborate and negotiate with diverse stakeholders, a keen eye for detail, and commitment to quality set you apart. You also communicate effectively in both English and Finnish. In addition, we believe you should have:

• Experience working with e-commerce services. 

• Experience working with a design system. 

• Familiarity with agile ways of working and tools, and the ability to apply them effectively in design work. 

• A passion for gathering and utilizing data and customer insight in the design process, and the ability to quickly create wireframes and prototypes based on those insights.
