A bit about the role…

Solink seeks a Legal Counsel/Senior Legal Counsel (2-7 year call) to join our Legal Team as the Company builds out legal and operational functions to scale with its continued growth and expansion. In this position, you will serve as a partner to your business counterparts in drafting and negotiating NDAs, MSAs, consulting agreements, and other commercial contracts on behalf of Solink. You will also assist with the implementation of scalable solutions for contract, vendor, and document management processes and workflows.

You will also be counseling internal and external stakeholders on legal and business risks entailed in employment, compliance, privacy, intellectual property, and corporate governance-related legal issues will be key to the role. You will also help drive financial and strategic planning and budgeting for Solink’s legal function.

This role supports core business functions that will be driving the adoption of management systems and operational disciplines critical to the organization's success as it scales. 

WHO YOU ARE:

• You have an Undergraduate degree, JD, and Ontario bar admission 

• You have 2-7+ years of experience practicing law at either a top law firm with a technology focus or in-house at a technology company

• You have extensive experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, including NDAs, MSAs, and consulting agreements

• You have familiarity with the implementation of scalable procedures, processes, and policies for contract, vendor, and document management

• You have strong communication skills and experience counseling non-legal stakeholders on legal and business risks associated with employment, privacy, compliance, intellectual property, and corporate governance-related legal issues

SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:

• Candidates must undergo a criminal records check upon hire;

• Be a Canadian Citizen (dual citizens included), or eligible to work in Canada;

• Be willing to comply with Solink’s own security policies and standards.
